Description
The Visual Merchandising Manager (VMM) is responsible for the development and communication of merchandise presentation. The VMM partners with the Merchandising Department to ensure presentation consistency.
Primary Responsibilities
* Manage the development and production of the Visual Directive, including reviewing product, formatting walls, preparing merchandise and photographing the collections.
* Gather and prepare written visual merchandising direction regarding changes and substitutions based on assortment and inventory levels. Direction must be clear, concise and presented in an easily understood format.
* Develop and oversee the store layout process for all products.
* Work closely with the merchandising team to present merchandise in the most creative, shoppable and financially responsible manner.
* Ensure timelines on visual production processes are met.
* Maintain/coordinate regular communication with the field regarding visual merchandising updates and seasonal changes.
* Present design concepts for store fixtures and seasonal props, including expense forecasting, to Visual Merchandising Director.
Qualifications
* Exceptional communication, leadership and organizational skills.
* Strong merchandising and presentation skills.
* Excels in prioritizing and follows-through to completion.
* General Mac and Quark skills required.
* College degree, preferably Art/Design Major or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 3 years retail/visual merchandising management experience.
