Banana Republic, a division of Gap Inc., has an exciting leadership opportunity for a Visual Merchandising Lead in our premiere San Francisco flagship store.
The Merchandise Presentation Lead’s responsibility is executing the day-to-day action plans developed by the visual leadership team. The Merchandise Presentation Lead focuses primarily on all aspects of visual presentation within the store, as well as day to day store operations and customer service.
* Provides feedback to manager regarding merchandise-handling concerns/opportunities
* Creates development and training plans for direct reports
* Trains and coaches visual team members to meet productivity standards
* Provides on-the-job training to all employees on company initiatives and standards to ensure that everyone fully understands company direction
* Provides in the moment coaching on sales floor to staff to reward good behavior and to redirect when needed
* Tracks productivity and ensures that the team is meeting company standards for all visual tasks
* Maintains brand integrity in all areas of visual display
* Implements and complies with presentation book standards, adjusting visual presentation to consistently ensure brand appropriateness
* Generates and analyzes Field Merchandise Reports and makes necessary product placement adjustment based on selling and FMR reports
* Shares feedback from customers to leadership team to improve overall customer experience
* Ensures store is a neat, clean and safe environment for all employees
Qualifications:
* 2 to 3 years Retail Visual Display experience, especially in a large retail environment. (Department Store or Flagship Specialty Stores preferred). Strong Visual Merchandising background a must.
* Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs.
* Ability to communicate effectively with customers and store employees.
* Ability to maneuver around sales floor and stockroom, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting and climbing.
* Stong attention for detail.
* Awareness of industry trends.
* Open availability and flexibility to work nights and weekends, including opening and closing shifts to meet the needs of the business.
* Creative ability and knowledge of visual presentation theory.
*Excellent organization and communication skills.
*Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
*Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate.
*Fast learner.
*Ability to multi-task projects while reacting to the needs of the business.
*High sense of urgency.
*Love for fashion.
