Today is the 70th anniversary of the martyrdom of Maximilan Kolbe. I want to pass along
a rather poignant post on the Saint and who he is, by
Brad Birzer over at one of my favorite sites CatholicVote.org. Please go check it out, and let us not forget what St. Maximilian did that day, and what he continues to do for us in Heaven.
I have a deep devotion to this Saint because of my Polish heritage. I also learned of him early on in my reversion, and have always seen him as a source of intercessory help and guidance. Let us not forget what he did, and more importantly
why he did it.
