So I woke up today, and for a second, I looked around and thought, "I better check Drudge... just in case." Now, I don't think for a second that we can know when the end of the world will come... or when it does, what it will be like, but I had a "Rapture-esque" moment.
What really got to me though was the thought, "What would have been my 'fault' had I been 'Left Behind'"? Now I know that as Catholics we don't believe the "End" will come the way that a lot of "Rapture" folks say it will... but dont tell me you didn't think for at least a second: "Wow, what if I am left behind?"
In that moment... what was it that you thought held you back? What would hold you back if the "Rapture" happened? What is it in our lives that we cling to and hold above God? We all have something, that is sort of what sin is. If nothing else we should use this past cultural phenomenon as a teachable moment to ourselves to fix what is 'broken.'
