THE MASTER BREWERS ASSOCIATION OF THE AMERICAS was incorporated under the laws of the State of Illinois on March 21, 1887 as the "Master Brewers Association of the United States." After Repeal of the 18th Amendment, the Constitution and Bylaws of the Association was revised and the name of the Association was changed to "Master Brewers Association of America."
