Mark Begich - Catholic In Name Only....

Senator Mark Begich from Alaska is sadly a Catholic in name only. Today he voted with other Senators to table the Nelson-Hatch amendment which would have removed federal funding for abortion from the proposed health care bill.

I have posted his contact info in posts below and I feel that all Catholics in Alaska owe him a letter of disappointment; and yet he also deserves our prayers. I call on him to either stop calling himself Catholic and using it as a "resume point"; or vote according to the beliefs of the Church and the NATURAL LAW.

I don't how these folks can vote this way and still go to Church and call themselves Catholic. This is a Catholic voting to allow funding for the murder of innocent babies. Alaskan Catholics... we must not let this stand. He owes us all an explanation... or he owes God a renunciation of his faith. He can't be a Cafeteria Catholic simply for political expediency and benefit.

Again, I do implore you all to pray for him, and the reform of his conscience. I also urge us to pray for his priests to have the fortitude to withhold communion from him until he stops publicly scandalizing the faith.
