Immaculate Conception (Post from my old parish)

I miss my old parish sometimes... just because we had 3 AMAZING PRIESTS! One who came on just before we moved celebrated his first Mass in the Tridentine Rite!!

Here is the post from another priest from my old parish's blog:

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, and my soul shall be joyful in my God: for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, and with the robe of justice He hath covered me, as a bride adorned with her jewels. (Introit, Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Roman Missal)

“The most Blessed Virgin Mary was, from the first moment of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege of almighty God and by virtue of the merits of Jesus Christ, Savior of the human race, preserved immune from all stain of original sin.” (Pius IX, Ineffabilis Deus, 1854.)
