Provides all production processes for all images, including scanning, retouching of RGB and CMYK images. Supports DAM with naming conventions, folder structure and metadata as required. Provides image retouch and optimizing for internet images. Maintains strategic partnership with Production Artists, Color Analysts, Creative Manager, and collaborates with photo art directors.
Responsibilities:
Convert Images to CMYK. Provide esthetic retouching, correcting imperfections in fabrics, color balancing backgrounds and perform image extensions. Provide color match retouching for merchandise utilizing swatch and sample references. Use Photoshop shortcuts to arrive at desired result in minimum time. Remove moirés, sharpen, compose images together, create layers and masks for color correcting, as required. Remove image artifacts as needed. Be able to density and color balance. Be able to utilize new functionality with software upgrades. Provides other duties as assigned when needed to support the goals of the department. Such as but not limited to special projects, changes in circumstances or technical developments. Required Skills:
5+ years retouching experience for print required Ability to optimize/color manage and sharpen images for Internet usage Candidate must be fluent in RGB, and CMYK color correcting and retouching, along with a strong knowledge of print processes Expertise in Adobe CS, Acrobat, Illustrator, and InDesign required Posted by Ashley Eslick
