PSA - Netflix: A Man for All Seasons

A quick Public Service Announcement:

I am house-sitting for a family that has Netflix. While searching for various movies to watch I realized that they have "A Man For All Seasons" in their "Instant" library. It is about the climax of St. Thomas More's life and his run-in with King Henry VIII.

If you have access... you should take the 2 hours out of your day and watch it.

UP - The Movie...

I know I am late to the party on this one... it just came out at a weird time for me. [My last year of law school :P] We finally watched it tonight... and really enjoyed it. I remember seeing the previews a long time ago and was a little concerned that I wouldn't like it. I didn't really know the premise, but felt like it wasn't going to be endearing enough for my liking.

Boy was I wrong! I will admit that it definitely got my wife and I choked up quite a bit. It was well written and it definitely sucked you in from the get go. I think the best part was the beginning, even though it was the LEAST pixar/disney-ish portion of the movie.

I think that Wall-E and UP share a lot of similar elements and I am quite happy with them. I know some "purists" think that Pixar has gone away from its "roots" but I think that these films are just different and appeal to a different audience. Overall I definitely recommend UP if you haven't seen it or have had doubts.
