National C------- Reporter

This is an off the cuff post, but seriously... what is the possibility that the National Catholic Reporter will lose its 'Catholic'? Can't Bishop Finn just lay the law down and make them drop it from the title? I mean, is it the same as hospitals? 

What is going on over there? The thing that scares me, is that by having "Catholic" in their name attached to a masthead that also includes 'National' they create for themselves a basis for what they print as being legitimate... and so it infects the minds of other Catholics. Thereby, it creates a sense that what they write is a legitimate and academic way to consider the faith, when in fact it isn't – lies and mistruths beget lies and mistruths. 

I don't blame Bishop Finn, I just can't take it anymore... seriously. They aren't a different kind of Catholic... because well... "One Holy and Apostolic Church..." ugh. And just what is an: "alternative Catholic voice..." isn't that just double-media speak for: "heterodox"?
