Proper lead generation for network marketers and home based business owners is always on the mind of entrepreneurs.
What's the best way? What's the latest and greatest traffic source? How much does it cost? How do you generate leads for your mlm business? Can I pay someone to do it for me? How can I get more leads? What do I say to my leads? Can I buy some?
The questions just don't end.
And I can understand why. With so many new products and gurus heavily marketing for you to buy their stuff its challenging to stay focused on a marketing game plan. People are network marketers are literally running around like a chicken with their head cut off.
Bluntly speaking if you don't have enough leads coming into your "sales funnel" on a consistent basis you won't be in business long. Unfortunately so many in this industry end up out of business before they realize it.
So as network marketers we live and die by our leads. In the mid to late 2000's a huge shift began to happen and the trail blazers turned their focus to the internet to generate leads. Most old school network marketers considered using that method as unreliable, a waste of time, and foolish.
A lot still have this view point even to this day. On the other hand the new found internet network marketers thought buying leads, cold calling, prospecting in the cold market, creating top 100 lists was just plain out dated.
I recently heard that for most people that make it big in MLM they already have a huge network of friends that move with them from company to company. I know that is a generalization so don't jump down my throat if it doesn't pertain to you.
Here's the challenge with this new school vs old school lead generation methods. Most old schoolers try marketing online and give up because they are "technologically" challenged. They end up going back to the traditional way of building a MLM business which is pounding the pavement and phones still not getting the results they want.
Most new schoolers fail at online marketing because they don't generate enough quality leads and spend themselves out of the game. If the percentages are so overwhelmingly high of those that fail in this industry you have to wonder is their a solution. It is painfully obvious that no matter where you fall old/new school if your lead generation methods are weak you will fail....miserably
