Lent Vent

My wife gave up "treats" for Lent. What she meant is baked treats: cookies, cakes, all other sorts of yumminess. Why is this a problem? Well for starters, about a year and a half ago she started baking daily. Several loaves of bread, cookies, cakes, cup-cakes, brownies, fruit-leather, you name it.

Now? Nadda!

I shouldn't have to suffer... I didn't give up these things for Lent. I mean, sure, I could offer it up as my own lenten sacrifice, but that wasn't my plan. Is she selfish for giving it up, AND refraining from baking such things for me? It wasn't the act that she gave up, but the consumption. Doesn't this defeat the purpose? Shouldn't she still be making me yummy-goodness?

What say you readers?
