Differential Pressure Gauge

Differential pressure is the difference between two pressure measurements within two points in a single system. This type of measurement is usually used in systems with instruments having pressure functions such as weather, aircraft and automobile systems.
A differential pressure gauge is used to measure differential pressure. It is an industrial instrument that shows the variance between two input connections. It can easily measure any pressure change in liquids and gases. It is most essential when two system inputs have a significant difference in pressure. There are different types of pressure gauges available in the market. One can choose the gauge that best suits their needs.
The first type is the Piston Sensor Differential Pressure Gauge. This is the most well-known and commonly used gauge. It is an affordable type of pressure measuring tool that is used in measuring the level of contamination in a filtration system. The gauge and the switch prevent the flow of the fluid in a filtration system from stopping. Also, these two parts inhibit the cartridge of a filtration system from collapsing. This type of pressure gauge consists of a sliding seal that is almost the same as a hypodermic needle seal. The seal allows small and microscopic media in the system to move from the high pressure to the low pressure areas.
Another type of gauge is the Rolling Diaphragm Differential Pressure Gauge. This is used in systems where unlimited or unspecific amounts of media movement are not allowed. This type of gauge is also used for filtration purposes. Moreover, it is used in heat exchangers and other liquid systems that require positive pressure to keep it safe. This type of gauge is not recommended for systems that has a possibility of pressure turnaround.
A third type of Differential Pressure Gauge is the kind with a Small Convoluted Diaphragm. This type of gauge is recommended in measuring pressure with low ranges because it can detect lower pressure amounts. Also, it has a larger area that can interrupt pressure. This type of gauge is commonly used in displaying liquid level and orifice, venturi or nozzle flow rate. The liquid level and flow rate pressures are measured as a square root of the differential pressure. The small convoluted diaphragm gauge can obtain this measurement by using special square root dials.
Finally, the Medium Convoluted Diaphragm Pressure Gauge is a type of gauge that is used in systems with extremely low pressure requirement. Its larger diaphragm allows the display of low pressure such as 0-2 inches of water.
