Now I am not trying to be dramatic or anything such as that, I just want to let everyone know what I am thinking as well as to be honest with myself, and some of my more devoted readers who still pester me to post more. (Although aka the Mom was supposed to satisfy their need.)

I have a lot of thoughts about this blog... and it kind of grew to something that I never intended it to be, both in a positive and negative way. So I really am taking this time away to evaluate the role it has in my spiritual life. There is also the fact that this blog has taken on a role here in Alaska that I have never imagined it would. I do not hide my identity, I also dont advertise it blatantly. That being said, having spent time around a different group of Catholics recently and I have encountered an unsettling situation. I can tell you, it is very, very odd to be talking with someone, only to have that person bring up my blog and talk about it completely oblivious to the idea that I am the author.

Anyways here are some random thoughts I have had about the blog and what I will be dealing with over the next week or two as my life returns to some normalcy, and I have to figure out how I move forward with the blog:
Should I focus more/less on Alaska?
Should I return to my original posts and use this blog as a learning/introspective tool for my personal faith?
Politics and Culture really influence me and were meant to be part of this blog... and never really have been, should they be?
The focus of this blog changes from month to month, is that good, is it bad, should I be more "disciplined"?
Sometimes my blog becomes "journalistic" sometimes it is "update-ish" and "Cross-postish" - do I need to have a style/format?
Should I do less posts - yet make them longer, focus more on the writing and research aspect of each?
Do I need to worry about the "design" and "side content" of the blog - or leave "full featured" blogs to others?
As I said, I know that a handful of folks read my blog - but this has always been for me and a few close friends. The rest of you are a welcome bonus. So I don't think that my blog is that important, that my absence is too concerning to more than a few, or that these questions deserve an answer from anyone but me. I just want to get these ideas out there... so that I can hold myself accountable once I get back.
Stay tuned.. I am sure I will figure something out... eventually.
