Network marketing is a business that can help the average person create a lifestyle of freedom, financial independence, and wealth. However, many distributors struggle and can't seem to make it work. They feel much frustration. The problem is a lack of the right mlm information and failure to become a critical thinker.
If you are looking to join a network marketing company or simply want to research your current mlm opportunity, there are five specific areas, or pillars, that you should carefully consider. These pillars will help you avoid pyramid schemes and mlm scams that are out there. Following these 5 network marketing tips can save you years of failure and frustration.
This article will cover pillar #1, the most important of all the pillars. If this is not in place, the others won't matter much anyway!
Pillar #1 is company management experience with integrity. In other words, does the company management have the personal experience building a downline? If so, have they done so with honesty and integrity? All this means is if they know what the heck they are doing!
Here are a couple of areas for you to take a close look at:
-Policies and procedures. Understand them and make sure they are fair! This is a legally binding contract so don't put your John Hancock on any line unless you clearly understand what you are getting in to! For instance, phrases such as "termination with or without cause" is a red flag.
-Is there a charge for each paycheck the company sends you?
-Does the business company's contract have lots of "on-going" phrases?
-Is it a "cash only" business? Red flag!
-Can you buy top positions? Red flag!
-Are special deals offered? If so, there is an uneven playing field!
-Is the mlm opportunity publicaly traded? If so, be aware that all financial decisions will be made in favor of the company's stockholder's and not the reps!
As you can see, there are many areas to look at before you join a company. If you are someone who desires to retire some day with a rock star income, please become a critical thinker. Always carefully evaluate your mlm company. It very well can save you years of failure and frustration.

Go Mobile! Series: Your ads on the iPad
Like many of you, we’re excited about the upcoming release of Apple’s iPad and the promise of tablet computers. Innovative products like the iPad are on the cutting edge of a whole new class of devices that promise to make accessing information and content easier and more fun.
Over the past year, we’ve been working to make sure that our advertising products work well on a different class of exciting new devices - mobile phones with full Internet browsers like the iPhone and those running Android. These mobile devices have exploded in popularity, and have allowed advertisers to achieve incremental reach and great results. With these high-end phones making up 50% of mobile search queries, it’s highly valuable for advertisers to connect with these users.
In many ways, an iPad is more similar to these mobile devices than to desktop and laptop computers. It runs on a mobile operating system, has a touchscreen, runs mobile apps, and is highly portable, suited for on-the-go browsing. For this reason we’ve decided for now to include the iPad as a mobile device in AdWords, which means that as AdWords advertisers, you can easily extend the reach of your current ad campaigns to these new types of devices.
To ensure that your ads appear on new mobile devices like the iPad, simply make sure that you have “all mobile devices” selected in your campaign settings under the “Networks and devices” section. You can also use the default setting, "All available devices."
If you want to target the iPad specifically, our engineers are busy at work doing the final testing on an option to enable you to do just that. It will appear in the coming days when you choose to “target only selected mobile devices”. And don’t worry - if you’ve already changed your AdWords settings to not appear on these mobile devices, your ads won’t appear on the iPad.
Of course, the world of devices like the iPad is in its infancy, and these devices may evolve in ways that we haven’t anticipated yet. So we’ll continue to watch the space and ensure that no matter which direction the devices go in next, we'll make sure to give advertisers the reach, control and features they’ll need to get great results from their ad campaigns.

Announcing Wingdings as a new font
Last year, we announced that publishers could begin changing the font faces of their ad units. We've been listening to your feedback, and we're happy to let you know that we've just added Wingdings as a font face option.
During our extensive alpha testing, we found that this font performed especially well on sites catering to two specific audiences: cryptologists and carrier pigeons. Even if your site's visitors aren't usually comprised of these two groups, this font face can reduce ad blindness and we encourage you to test it on your sites. As a reminder, you can choose to update the font face of specific ad units, or apply your settings account-wide.

To get started with Wingdings, follow these instructions.
We're continuing to look for ways to improve your monetization potential, and we'll be sure to let you know of any updates right here on our blog. We're looking forward to the positive effects this launch will have for publishers, users, and advertisers.

If you wait for perfection, ...
If you wait for perfection, you might wait too long.
There are some similar quotes, but so far as I know, this quote is mine. As the father, I kind of like it. But most parents love their own children. (If I am not the father, tell me now.)
This applies to all of life. And to Scrum and Agile and Lean. As the guy said in the movie, "Nobody's perfect." In fact, not a single thing is perfect. So, my advice is: Don't wait for perfection.
Still a big problem out there. Too many people doing it. I usually don't do it more than 3 times per day.
Use this quote to work on 'em. Make life better now, before it gets to 'perfect.'
One of the biggest business problems we have.
News and an Update on the Paperless Earth Day Pledge for Teachers
It was a nice surprise this morning to wake up to a post on Paperless Earth Day from Greenopolis on 3BLMedia.
Very cool. Thanks for the support!
As for an update on the drive: we've got 21 days to go and we're at 1025 teachers signed up so far pledging to go paperless in their classrooms for Earth Day. Ask a friend to pledge now!
