6. How long will it take to complete the Professional Ethics module?
Users can work through the material at their own speed and they can take as much or as little time as they need. Because it is an online learning environment, the speed of the user's internet access and their familiarity with the English language may impact the time required.
The average user takes about 3.5 hours to complete the module.
Since this is a reflective module consisting of nine units, we encourage users to work through one or two units at a time, think about the material, then go back and work through a few more units.
Users can re-access the module at any time. ACCA encourages students to return to the module throughout their training in order to maintain their awareness of professional ethics. It may be particularly useful to do so during preparation for the professional level papers and while gaining your practical experience in the workplace.
7. Is there a pass mark for the Professional Ethics module?
There is no exam for the Professional Ethics module therefore students cannot fail the module. There are a series of self-tests for students to complete, designed to encourage them to reflect on what they have learnt. Students are required to engage with all the activities and tests contained within the module, reflect on what they have gained from them and record this in the form of a learning statement.
The qualifications are perfect for anyone looking to start a career in accounting and finance and also provide an excellent route to the ACCA Qualification and a career as a professional accountant.
The first Foundations in Accountancy exams will take place in December 2011, but ACCA has implemented transitional arrangements for those wishing to begin their studies now.
